Reiki and massage together: what a Body Reset session is really like
Reiki and massage are usually booked separately. One is hands-on bodywork for muscle and tissue. The other is a quiet, light-touch energy practice. Body Reset is what happens when they share a single session,.
What is a Body Reset?
A Body Reset combines massage and Reiki in one continuous session. Rather than splitting your hour into two disconnected halves, the two approaches move together. Hands-on work addresses the places where tension has settled in the muscle. Reiki works with the body's energy and helps the nervous system stay quiet enough for that tension to let go.
Think of massage as helping the body unwind from the outside in, and Reiki as helping it unwind from the inside out. Together they tend to go deeper than either does alone, which is why the session is called a reset rather than a rubdown.
Why combine them?
Many people arrive carrying both kinds of tension at once: a tight neck and shoulders, and a mind that will not stop. Massage alone can ease the muscle but sometimes leaves the restlessness untouched. Reiki alone can be deeply calming but may not reach a stubborn knot. Blending them lets one session meet both.
People often describe three things afterward: heavier, slower breathing; a sense of the body feeling quieter; and a clearer head than they expected from a bodywork session.
What happens during the session
Every session begins with a short conversation. Jason asks what is going on in your body and your life right now, what you would like more of, and anything he should avoid. That intake shapes the whole hour.
You then lie on the table, with draping and your comfort respected throughout. The work moves between hands-on massage and Reiki, sometimes with hands resting lightly on the body and sometimes held just above it. The pace is unhurried. There is no pressure to talk, to feel anything in particular, or to believe anything at all.
The session closes with a few minutes of integration and simple aftercare guidance, such as drinking water and giving yourself an easy evening if you can.
Who is it for?
Body Reset suits people who feel run down by stress, who sleep poorly, who carry tension in the neck, shoulders, and jaw, or who simply want a more complete kind of rest than a standard massage offers. It is also a gentle starting point if you are curious about energy work but want the grounding of hands-on bodywork alongside it.
If you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, or recovering from an injury, mention it when you book so the session can be shaped safely. Bodywork and Reiki support relaxation and wellbeing. They are not a substitute for medical care.
Session lengths and booking
Body Reset is offered as a 60 minute session at $125 or a 90 minute session at $165. The longer session gives the work more room to settle, and is a good choice if this is your first time or you carry a lot of tension. Jason is a licensed massage therapist (License # MAT-17591) and a Reiki Master.
